1792 Wealth Advisors Joins ProShares on the NYSE Podium for Historic Closing Bell Ceremony (7/23/2026)

NEW YORK, NY — For 1792 Wealth Advisors, standing on the podium of the New York Stock Exchange alongside ProShares to ring the Closing Bell was more than a milestone—it was the realization of a dream rooted in the very history that inspired the practice’s name.

For the team at 1792 Wealth Advisors, the opportunity to see the Buttonwood Agreement in person and stand at the center of the world’s most recognized financial marketplace was both humbling and inspiring.

“To stand on the floor of the NYSE and see the Buttonwood Agreement in person was an unforgettable experience,” said Bob Milligan, Founding and Managing Partner of 1792 Wealth Advisors. “Our practice’s name was inspired by that historic moment in 1792 when twenty-four stockbrokers and traders came together under a buttonwood tree at the corner of Wall Street and what is now Nassau Street to sign the Buttonwood Agreement, laying the foundation for what would eventually become the New York Stock Exchange. To experience that history firsthand and then stand on the podium during the Closing Bell was truly special. It reinforced why we do what we do every day—helping our clients harness the power of the capital markets to pursue their goals, protect what matters most, and build lasting legacies.”

More than 230 years after the Buttonwood Agreement, the markets established by those early visionaries continue to create opportunities for investors, businesses, and families across the country. At 1792 Wealth Advisors, the practice’s mission is centered on helping clients participate in those opportunities through thoughtful planning, disciplined investing, and trusted advice.

The Closing Bell ceremony served as a powerful reminder that behind every investment strategy, portfolio, and market milestone are real people working toward meaningful life goals—from retirement and education funding to charitable giving and multi-generational wealth planning.

“We often talk with clients about the benefits of participating in the capital markets, but being able to witness the markets in action at the NYSE brought that conversation to life in a remarkable way,” Milligan added. “The same markets that began with a simple agreement in 1792 continue to help create opportunities for families and businesses today. It was incredibly meaningful to see that connection between history and the work we do on behalf of our clients.”

1792 Wealth Advisors extends its sincere appreciation to Danny Valentino, Troy Goldstein, Mo Haghbin and Rich Ledee of ProShares for helping make this dream a reality.

“The partnership and friendship we’ve built with the ProShares team have been invaluable,” said Milligan. “We are grateful to Danny, Troy, Rich and Mo for their support and for sharing this historic experience with us.”

The event also highlighted the strength of the relationship between 1792 Wealth Advisors, Raymond James, and ProShares. Together, the organizations share a commitment to investing excellence, innovation, and helping clients navigate increasingly complex financial markets with confidence.

“This moment was a celebration of partnership,” Milligan said. “We are proud of the relationships we’ve built with Raymond James and ProShares and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside organizations that share our dedication to serving clients at the highest level.”

As the Closing Bell echoed across Wall Street, it marked more than the end of a trading day. For 1792 Wealth Advisors, it was a celebration of history, partnership, and the enduring promise of the capital markets – a promise that began in 1792 and continues to help clients pursue their dreams today.
